Workshopping [Historic]

Hey MycoPals,

I hope all of you out there are taking care of yourselves. It’s been awhile since my last update here. There’s surely going to be a time for an increase in activity and that time is coming soon. For now I am toiling away on the roadwork that will serve as a foundation to MycoPals as we move forward here with what I plan to do.

This weekend I’ll be out in Haysville Kansas attending a workshop hosted by Eric Myers of Myers Mushrooms. There’s quite a lot of road to cover between here and there! The guy is a real centerpiece here in the mushroom cultivation community. He’s got quite an operation going on over there. If you have yet to check out his content I highly encourage you to do so through the embedded YouTube link provided for you above. He’s definitely got something going on to be proud of. Without him I’m positive that many cultivators out there might not have gotten to where they are today. I’m sure it’ll be a great experience. I’ll be keeping you guys posted on the trip over on my twitter.

Keep in mind that this year is quickly coming to an end and I am looking for another Fungal All-star for the hall of fame here on the site. All submissions can be sent to my email at support@mycopals.com. A hall of famer will be selected at the start of the year, they will be contacted for further details and to select a charity of their choice to which one hundred dollars will be donated on their behalf. If you’d like to see an example submission go ahead and check out last year’s hall of famer, Ben Kendrick. He’s out there to this day making it happen. Go ahead and connect with him!

As I have said previously for now I am working on fine tuning the mechanics that hide behind the scenes. These are the fundamentals of what allows a business to run effectively and successfully in the long run. By understanding the innards like bookkeeping and management accounting you’ll be able to command and conquer from an entirely new playing field. These are the things less spoken about when going through the motions out and about here on the internet but they really can serve as your rock.

If you ever find that you are struggling with something in business, take this as a sign. Do not continue to subject yourself to such uncertainty or confusion if at all possible. If you are not certain on how to go about something there are resources out there that can help you educate yourself in whatever it may be. Reach out to others and to these resources to gain a better understanding of what is going on in whatever it may be. Don’t put it off and don’t wait if at all possible. Step.

If you’re planning on building an operation from the ground up I can highly recommend two things to you. They exist on a platform created by MIT and Harvard and they’re free for you to access. I will link them below, they’re a self paced, educational course that will better prepare you for when the money and taxes start coming to you. You and I expect to succeed and if we are going to follow through on that to the best of our ability we have got to build a solid foundation.

I am setting out to do this the right way and if at all possible I am going to bring you along with me. You’ve got it in you and there’s no better time than now to make it happen. Take that step.

I encourage you to familiarize yourself with their platform through their tutorial that can be found below. It may seem tedious but it will allow you to more easily navigate the platform and in doing so you will find that you are able to educate yourself in a much more productive manner. The tutorial is called DemoX and it is very short but informative. A link can be found below.
